For ages now I've been on the hunt for that ideal eye primer. I have recently been using a sample size of the Cover FX Eye Prep and I'm really enjoying it. What I like most about this eye primer is that it instantly hydrates, smooths and reduces puffiness around the eyes and on the eye lids. By using the Cover FX eye prep not only does it make a better base for make up under the eyes i.e. concealer, foundation and powder but it also works great with eyeshadow. The consistency of the Eye Prep is lightweight and moisturising and once the primer sets it really grips the intensity and colour of the products. I have noticed since using this primer my eyeshadow lasts for hours and it doesn't feel heavy on the lids. You need such a small amount of product and even though this is a sample size I think it will last me a while, but I would definitely consider purchasing the full size.

What are your favourite eye primers at the moment?

It's Christmas Eve can you believe it? I can't! It's come about so quickly it's unreal. This morning I rushed to Westfield to get some last minute bits, I've been unwell again with a nasty flu and vomiting bug so I haven't left home since I arrived back in London. It's been good being at home, nice and cosy watching Xmas TV and getting in to the festive spirit.
One thing I wanted to post about was a lipstick I picked up from Sephora last week. Surprise surprise it's yet ANOTHER red lipstick, honestly I believe a woman can never have enough red lipstick and this one was such a great find. I adore matte lips especially when it comes to bold colours such as red. When I tried the Colour Lip Last in Wanted Red (number 20), I knew it would be the perfect shade for Christmas and was just what I needed to get myself into the mood.
When you initially apply the lipstick the texture is so creamy and moisturising you would assume it's a glossy lipstick, however within moments it dries to a perfect velvet, matte finish. In reality it's a lipstick version of my favourite Sephora lip stain which I rave about all the time! (Read more HERE HERE & HERE). I would say the main difference between this lipstick and the Sephora lip stain is that this is a lot deeper in colour and I also find this lipstick to be slightly less drying on the lips.
Either way I love it, I came home this afternoon and applied this lipstick (Purpose of the blogpost of course) and now I am sat here in Christmas PJs, watching Harry Potter and rocking red lips. Nothing like feeling festive ay!? I look so pale in these pictures, I think being sick on and off for the last few months has sucked the life out of me.. Argh in desperate need of SUN!

I hope you guys are all having a great Xmas Eve, whether you celebrate Xmas or not. I love being around my friends and family at this time of the year and let's not forget all the food! YUM.
Merry Christmas my loves,
I adore books - The kind that sit perfectly on a coffee table and are an explosion of beautiful photography. Over the years I've built up a collection I'm quite proud of. Most of these books are predominately fashion and beauty based.
I have two new books which add to my expanding collection and at this time of the year I love nothing more than having a cup of tea whilst flicking through beautiful books. I always find if I'm lacking in inspiration these kinds of books are definitely a pick me up.
Alexander McQueen - Fashion Visionary
First up is an amazing addition from Alexander McQueen. I got the Savage of Beauty book last Christmas and this is the latest book which is looks at the gorgeous collections of McQueen throughout the years. The imagery is just breath taking and it really highlights some of the late McQueen best achievements.
Jemma Kidd - Make-Up Secrets
Next up is a fantastic make up book for those of you who are interested in beauty tips and tricks this is honestly such a great encyclopaedia to everything beauty. Jemma Kidd is well known for her make up school and this book is enough to school on you on everything from complimenting your complexion to braving colour. I love books that not only explain things in a simple way but also has great imagery to support the teachings.
Love beautiful books and these two are the latest on my shelves. What are you favourite books?
Lots of Love and Merry Xmas

I'm a girl all about gold! I love gold everything, especially accessories and if you are a regular reader of my blog then you will already know that. I was contacted by a company called Hayches, that specialise in traditionally British accessories and when they asked me to select an iPhone pouch I knew it had to be the 'Victoria' design. it's a gorgeous distressed metallic gold leather sleeve with velvet lining and I think it's perfect. I've really gone off phone cases lately but this pouch is perfect for keeping my phone safe and snug in my bag.
I also was sent one of their gold coated English penny coin rings and I love how quintessentially British this ring is. I adore jewellery and of course statement rings, this one has such a cool vintage feel to it. They also have the Penny design in earrings which I now have my eyes on! Hayches have got some really cool jewellery and lovely leather accessories on their website, they also currently have 15% off for Christmas - discount code HH2512 so check them out HERE.
Love a bit of gold, gets me feeling even more festive!

Hello! Remember me? Sorry..I know I suck! BUT so much has been happening I have had no time to myself to sit down and blog. Today I've got a nice, old school Mouldy make up, chit chat post for you - It has been forever since I've done one of these.. so here we go! I haven't bought make up in ages but last week I needed to pick up a few things one of those being a total ESSENTIAL - EYELINER! I had been using MAC's liquidlast liner since the Summer but as it run out I went on the hunt for a new one. If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know my favourite black eyeliner is Inglot's gel liner but with no Inglot here in Paris I thought I would give MAC's Blacktrack fluidline a go again.
It has been years since I've used Blacktrack and whilst I do like the consistency of it (it glides like a dream) I somehow don't find it as intensely black or long lasting as the Inglot gel liner. Oh wells for now I will continue using it and hope that within time it will grow on me!
I also had to B2M my containers and usually I choose Modesty lipstick because let's face it - It's my everyday shade and it's the one lipstick I actually go through so quickly! This time I decided to pick something different, I say different but in reality the colour and the finish differs EVER so slightly from Modesty. God at times I can be such a creature of habit, I went to MAC and literally every shade I swatched were variations of the same colour - how lame! This time 'Spirit' lipstick was the chosen one!
I do love this colour, In comparison I find Spirit is slightly browner than Modesty and has a little less pink to it. I also find that as the finish is a satin, it feels a lot creamier on my lips and makes my lips appear fuller. It's a very easy colour to wear, let's face it you can never have too many nude lipsticks. Move over Modesty you may have some stiff competition, Spirit is definitely my new winter nude.
I then stopped off at Sephora and fell in love with this eyeshadow (86) it's just such a gorgeous colour perfect for a winter smokey eye. The colour is hard to describe because although it looks grey, it has such a beautiful mauve undertone with lots of sparkle. I wore it buffed in the outer corners of my eyes on Sunday night.
The consistency of the Sephora own brand eyeshadows are perfect, the colours are so pigmented and they blend so beautifully. I love the intensity of this colour, there are so many ways you could wear it. I don't usually buy eyeshadows but I really felt like I had nothing in my collection that was similar to this.
Sorry for the lack of 'Mouldy Me' pictures, I looked moody in absolutely every one of them. Also let's not front my bags are horrendous! I can't wait to go home and snuggle up by the fire, get into the Christmas spirit and get some RnR.

Hello hunnies! How is everyone, cold? I'm freezing! I actually hate this time of the year BRR! The last few weeks have felt super festive with everything here in Paris, from my birthday celebrations to the Christmas markets and lights - I love it! My girl came down for my birthday which was so nice to have her here we got in to the usual fun and frolics. Then this weekend my boys from uni came to Paris, honestly these guys are like family. We all used to live together and now everyones in different parts of the world doing different things so to be together again after 3 years was just so surreal, but honestly amazing. I have so much love for people that walk in to your life and then you don't see for ages but when you do it's as if you've never been apart. As much as I enjoy blogging for everyone to read a huge part of it is for myself and these Instagram posts especially allow me to look over great times and wonderful memories. Life is so beautiful in photos and when I'm having a bad day looking over pictures from the past whether is be last week or last year - it makes me smile. I feel truly grateful for all the things I've experienced over the years.
How are you all? Feeling festive..
Lots of Love
