Hey guys I posted this video last week it features few of my favourite things from the Summer. It feels like Summer is well and truly over here in Paris, it's been so cold lately! *Sighs*. I hope you guys are all well as always open with YouTube to see the full list of products mentioned. Also I know this video is slightly out of focus, it's so annoying when that happens but I wanted to post it anyway. I have been so busy this week my friend Flo is here from London so we have been out and about and I've had no time to blog. It's all a bit hectic lately, apologies for that.

(180) Summer Tag Video

Hey guys I posted this video last week it features few of my favourite things from the Summer. It feels like Summer is well and truly ...

I was going through my nail polish collection that I have here with me in Paris and I really didn't know what colour to paint my nails - don't you just hate it when that happens!? I then stumbled across this beautiful blue by Topshop. 'Awol' is such a gorgeous bright blue and I love how it looks against my skin tone. Blues like this remind me of the Summer and the sea, so in an attempt to hold on to Summer for as long as possible I knew I had to wear it.

What I love about Topshop nail polishes, is the consistency it is honestly so spot on. I could have easily applied one coat and left it but me being me, I went on to apply a second even though it wasn't really necessary. The brush is also the perfect size which makes painting your nails a dream. I really don't know why I don't own more of the Topshop nail polishes (Probably because I own too many nail polishes DITTO).

Awol is definitely coming with me in the transition to AW12! Check out more from Topshop nails HERE. For £5 you can't really go wrong!

What colours have you been loving lately?

Last weekend I dashed back to London and on Sunday I was invited down to London Fashion Week on behalf of Toni&Guy. I attended the Vauxhall fashion scout which is dedicated to emerging talent and I was backstage for the Ekaterina show. Being backstage at fashion week is crazy, there is such a buzz, everyones super stressed out but the energy is so amazing.

I got to speak to Emma Hodgkins the head hair stylist for Eaketrina and Toni&Guy who told me about the inspiration behind hair. It was inspired by the 1960s and in particular the style icon Brigitte Bardot on holiday in St Tropez. The look was a modern day take on her look, it was a very effortless, relaxed look with loose curls and a lot of volume. A lot of the models wore headbands and hair accessories which complimented the hair, it was definitely Summer chic!

I also got to speak to Lan Ngyuen head of make up artistry for The Body Shop, who told me that they had put a modern twist on Brigitte Bardot's look. The focus was on bright, bold eyeliner that complimented the models clothes. The skin was left fresh and dewy, with a natural flush on the cheeks and a subtle nude lip. The nails were also amazing for this show, they tied in perfectly to the Ekaterina SS13 Collection.

The Ekaterina SS13 was such a fun, colourful collection that had me longing for a lifetime of sunshine. The colours wear bright, the prints were bold and middle eastern inspired. Pastels and neons seemed to dominate this collection and I'm glad they are are around for SS13, I really enjoyed the colour palette this season so glad elements of this are present in SS13 collections. How amazing are the shoes?

Ekaterina was the only show I went to this season, partly due to the fact that I wasn't even meant to be in London for LFW. It was a very last minute trip but I am so glad I got to pop down, even for a little while. I went to the Glam suite and got to meet up with some fab bloggers so all in all was a pretty good Sunday.

When I was in Dubai and met up with the gorgeous Mona Kattan of course we got talking cosmetics and I was in awe of her perfectly rosed stained lips. We got talking about our favourite lip stains of course I was bigging up the Sephora cream lip stain and it was then she suggested I try Revlon's  Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in the two above shades.

'Top Tomato' is the one I have been wearing lately, the colour is amazing it's a great, vibrant red with the perfect amount of orange to it. These lip stains apply similarly to the Sephora ones they go on to the lips almost like a gloss and within seconds set to the perfect matte finish. I must warn you though, you have to work quickly as the dry fast. I have to say though I do find these are a little more drying then the Sephora ones but with lip colour that stays put for hours - how can I complain?

I can't wait for it to get colder and darker, so that I can wear the burgundy in the shade 'Brilliant Bordeaux' I can see this being a favourite for AW12. It's such a gorgeous, rich colour and let's face it I love to rock my inner VAMP!

Have any of you tried these lip stains? For those of you who live in the UK and like the sound of the Sephora ones that I always rave about the Revlon Colorstay are a great alternative.

Check out the fab shades HERE

(Apologies for the ugly mugshot of yours truly I'm hating everything on me.. I blame the haircut, it has killed my confidence UGHHH)

Isn't it ironic the moment I claim to have writers block, or whatever I end up writing three posts in one night. It's funny how saying things out loud can make you react, in this case it has me wanting to share all sorts with you all. I literally just sat on the edge of my bed applying my night cream (As you do) then realised I had been meaning to write about this cream for ages and thought why not do it now. So I picked up my camera which in all fairness isn't particularly far from my bedside, snapped a quick shot and well now I'm here typing away while I should be sleeping away - I blame the meds which are clearly having an adverse effect on me.

Anyways back to the cream, this is one of those products that had been sitting in my "must try" pile for ages and about a month ago I decided to try it out. I don't use much from Decléor but know that my aunties swear by it. I even remember being a teen and them forcing a whole cleansing routine upon me which consisted solely of Decléor products, let's just say at the age - it didn't last very long. Now, being the (semi) mature product junkie that I have become I can really fully appreciate skin care brands such as Decléor because not only does it leave my skin feeling great, I have really noticed my skin to be a lot clearer and brighter than before. The Aroma White C+ Recovery Brightening Night Cream has such a lightweight texture and it absorbs effortlessly into the skin leaving my face feeling super hydrated thanks to ingredients such as shea butter and Vitamin C. It is probably one of the most nicest smelling face products I have had the pleasure of using (if you know me then you will know how important smells are) and this is down to the peony extract. Night time is probably the best time to moisturise as your away from all environmental damage on your skin. The texture of my skin and my general complexion has definitely evened out and I look forward to waking up in the morning with my face looking brighter and feeling hydrated. Suffering from dry skin there is nothing more frustrating than waking up and your skin already feeling dry and dehydrated, this has overcome that problem for me.

I am loving this so much right now, a small amount goes a long way. I go through phases with night cream but have definitely kept this up in my skincare routine of late.

Check it out HERE.

Have any of you guys tried anything from the Decléor range? What are your favourite night creams?

As I'm now off to bed.. it's Bonne Nuit from me

My cousin had always raved about OPI Nail Envy and to be honest I didn't know what all the hype was about, so she gave me a bottle to try (She seriously stocks up on this stuff!). I have been using this for about a month and I have to say my nails are probably in the best condition they have been in for years. I am one of those people who always has to have their nails painted, I very rarely allow my nails time to breathe and as a result they were so yellow. Whenever I did take nail polish off I'd be so embarrassed at the state of my nails that I'd have to instantly paint them. I can now say that after a month of using this even underneath nail polish as a base coat, I am so comfortable with leaving my nails polish free.

(Cue, my nail polish free fingers.. EEK!)

My nails are stronger, healthier and no longer yellow! This Nail Envy is the matte variation however,  it has still left my nails looking shiny and semi glossy. I have to admit - After years I'm in no rush to paint my nails!

OPI Nail Envy is quite pricey but if you have weak, flaky, discoloured nails then you should really check it out. It has worked wonders for me!

Hey guys, how is everyone? I'm currently sick with a nasty cold - pretty standard. If you hadn't guessed by now my immune system sucks! I felt like I wanted to share this post with you guys because I'm going through this transition period and I'm feeling a little distant from the blog. I know this will pass but I just wanted to let you all know that I think it's because I'm trying my best to get settled here in Paris that blogging hasn't taken a back seat. I can't help but express my love for Paris, I am living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world with every site a potential photography opportunity. Even though I posted an Instagram update, I love nothing more than big photographs.. So what more can I say..

From Paris, With Love

(172) From Paris, With Love..

A lot of people have been messaging me lately about skin care, I feel that mine is changing again. For years I have been using a multi purpose product that I incorporate in to my skin care regime and that is Aloe Vera. My skin can at times be quite problematic and when I was growing up suffering from Acne I used to use Aloe Vera it in it's most natural form, from the leaves of the plant. I since stopped using it in that form (My nan didn't agree with me trimming the leaves of her plant!) and switched up to soothing Aloe Vera Gel. The one that I always use is from Holland and Barrett and it is there own brand Aloe Vera Gel. It's so affordable and is the perfect product to calm skin irritation and generally nourish the skin . A lot of skin care brands use Aloe Vera as an ingredient in skin care and beauty but I find the gel is the purest way to feel the full benefits to the skin. I sometimes use it on it's own and apply it on my face and body. Additionally there are times where I use prior to applying my moisturisers. What I love most is that, even though this product is a gel it absorbs so well into the skin without leaving a sticky, greasy residue.

Holland and Barrett do a great range of Aloe Vera products, so even if the gel is something that doesn't appeal to you there are other ways of incorporating it in to your regime/diet. I know my girl Tali loves her Aloe Vera juice.

Check it out HERE.

Do any of you guys use Aloe Vera? I highly recommend it.

(Apologies for the lack of photographs, since moving to Paris I had to de-cant my gel. I have to pick up another tube when I'm back in London for sure!)

It seems like ages ago when I attended the Illamasqua Generation Q event, I mentioned it briefly in this post HERE. I wanted to wait and fill you guys in when I had products of this collection to hand. If I'm entirely honest with you this collection had me feeling so emotional and so connected to Illamasqua more than previously before. The reason being is that I love everything that Generation Q stands for, it's about embracing ageless beauty. From the moment I got to the event I could tell that Illamasqua were trying to send out the clear message that everybody should celebrate beauty, regardless of age, gender sex, colour it's something we all have the potential to feel and express.

I had the pleasure of meeting Evelyn and I couldn't have pictured a better face for the campaign. She oozed sophistication, someone who fully embraced her beauty and this was so evident from the graceful way she carried herself. Evelyn was approached to enter the public search to find the face of Illamasqua's Generation Q campaign and ended up winning.

David Horne said some really great things about the collection which I thought really summed up what Generation Q is about.

Seeing Imperfection as perfection and also not paying attention to the miseducation from counter culture. I thought this was such a valid point, just because someone on a counter advises you against something, who's to say that it can't work for you. The most common one is that once you are older you should stray away from shimmer eyeshadows because they don't work, why? I am a firm believer in that if you like something then wear it, regardless of what people may say or think. There may be times where it doesn't work but if you are confident in what you wear (this applies to everything from make up to fashion) then that confidence is true beauty.

Before I left London I was sent some of the collection and I love it, not just because of the fantastic colour palette but more of what Generation Q stands for. Its been a hectic few weeks what, with my move to Paris that I haven't had much time to play with the products. As the Generation Q launch is just hours away I wanted to show you some of the beautiful products that Illamasqua have in store for you this AW12. I will of course get swatches up as soon as possible but for now I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Creator Nail Polish - An amazing black nail polish with silver glitter, to me this is so galactic. It's like the sky at night with the stars out. Can not wait to rock this, this AW12.

Boost Intense Lipgloss - Is such a great colour, it's a strong fuchsia with purple undertones, described as a 'Blueberry Violet'.

Allure Powder Blush - To me this colour is incredible, it's a mix of rose and terracotta with a shimmer finish - Can not wait to use this.

Empower Palette - The perfect name for this collection!
This palette consists of
Slick : A liquid gunmetal liquid metal
Blink : A gorgeous caramel colour eyeshadow perfect for contouring
Fervent : An amazing brown/khaki/red pressed pure pigment with a shimmer finish.
Synth : A soft pink with a light silver glitter, this colour looks amazing layered!

Wisdom Precision Ink liner - I love the finish of this eyeliner, I have actually had this since the press event and have worn it on it's own for an alternative to black. I have also worn this to compliment my signature black liner. I absolutely love it, the colour is so AW12 it's almost a khaki gold, with a soft shimmer to it that catches the light so beautifully.

Illamasqua Generation Q launches tomorrow, I can't urge you to check out the collection and the beautiful imagery from the campaign HERE

Lots of Love
