(156) Beach, Bloomsbury's & Views of the Burj Al Arab

I haven't had a chance to post as much as I had been here in Dubai, the last few days have been busy but so incredible. I really have had the most magical time here I don't want to come back home! Part of me wishes I was moving here instead of Paris - haha! Never say Never!

Saturday I had such a relaxed day on the beach, the weather is beautiful by the sea. Ok I admit the humidity is a killer but when you're sitting on the beach there is the warmest Summer breeze - It's amazing. It's extremely hard to take pictures here in Dubai as the humidity and my lens just don't get on.

In the evening we headed to the Mall of the Emirates for dinner and to shop around. I must admit I prefer The Dubai Mall, so after a few hours of mooching around we headed back there. We ended up having tea and cake in this gorgeous cafe 'Bloomsbury', it's inspired by the British Bea's of Bloomsbury. The atmosphere was so realxed, the decor was gorgeous and don't get me started on the cupcakes!

I had a pot of English Breakfast tea and it came with a sand timer, which allows your tea to brew for just the right amount of time. I have to say this was the best cup of tea I have had in a long time! We ordered a traditional Red Velvet cupcake and a Strawberries and Cream cupcake. What I loved most about the cupcakes was how light they were, usually with cupcakes I eat half of a cupcake before the frosting becomes too sickly. Instead the frosting here isn't icing but more of a light cream, they were absolutely delicious. This cafe is the perfect place to stop for tea break whilst shopping. It's situated on the Lower Ground of The Dubai Mall just opposite Bloomingdales.

After an evening of malls we decided not to stop the shopping there and headed to Souk Madinat. This is situated on Jumeirah Road and has beautiful views overlooking the Burj Al Arab. It's a great way to end an evening in Dubai. It's an indoor souk with a variety of shops and stalls selling traditional items, antiques, clothing and other amazing finds. There are also quite a lot of restaurants and bars in this area. Definetley somewhere worth checking out if you are ever in Dubai.

(153) The Dubai Mall and mOre Cafe

Hello my loves, hope you are all well it's super hot here in Dubai something in the 40's! Yesterday I spent most of the day by the pool, actually on the beach! I love being by the beach more than anything, the sea is actually ridiculously hot. I have actually just got back from a midnight swim in the sea, it's magical swimming under the stars. Yesterday evening we headed to The Dubai Mall, this has to be my favourite mall in Dubai, probably because it's so extravagant and boasts over 1000 stores. What I also love is that you literally have the best of the whole worlds shopping from Bloomy's from USA to Gallery Lafayette from France, everything is under one roof - What more could a girl want!?

I wanted to do this post to share with you this great cafe/restaurant we ended up eating in. There is so much choice in The Dubai Mall when it comes to food that you can almost spend hours walking around just looking for somewhere to eat. I was so impressed with the place we ate that I wanted to share it with you guys.

The restaurant is called mOre, situated on the Lower Ground of the mall and has the most incredibly varied menu - there is literally something for everyone. Whether you want to eat an all day breakfast, Italian, Indian, Chinese- They have it all. I am usually a little hesitant when it comes to restaurants like this as I don't think one place can be good at cooking a variety of cuisines, but mOre definitely proved me wrong.

The restaurant itself was lively, busy and very trendy. There was a great display of art and items from unique designers to purchase. I think my love for the arts and the fact that mOre cafe supports local artists is something that really drew me in, it really way so cool (Gutted I didn't take more pictures). I loved the menus I thought they were uber cool oh and the cutlery!

Between us we chose a selection of International cuisine, I opted for the roasted pumpkin and feta ravioli it was amazing. I adore pumpkin it's one of my favourite things to eat (It's a Mauritian thing!) and I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my dish. I still didn't manage to eat it all - The portions are huge!

I also tried a bit of everyone else's..

Roasted Chicken with Baby potatoes

Butter Chicken with Rice.

Breaded Veal with German Potatoes.

The food was delicious and I really recommend visiting if you are in the Dubai Mall area or in any of their other Dubai locations. I'm such a foodie and I have no idea why I don't post about food and places to eat more often. I think if you follow me on Instagram you may already know my love for food.

Check out mOre HERE

For those of you who don't know the Burj Khalifa (The world's tallest building) is just outside this mall and was just outside the mOre cafe. We managed to catch the fantastic water fountain show, every time I see this I get excited like a little kid, it amazes me every time when I'm in Dubai. I have to say though, it's been a nightmare taking pictures in Dubai the heat is insane that my camera lens humidifies up the instant I step outside.

Hope you guys are well I had another food filled evening at the Atlantis tonight, but will fill you in on that tomorrow!
