Umm.. Life Update? I'm Married!

Dubai - United Arab Emirates

It’s been another long time.. so where do I start this?

I’m married, well technically Islamically.. Our civil ceremony will be at the end this year but I wanted to write this post to somewhat fill you in. This year I made a conscious decision to distance myself from my blog, for years it had been something that I focused all my time and energy on - This year I knew I had to put myself first. This meant turning away opportunities, not frequently updating and just keeping most of life as private as possible. I have often felt extreme guilt for neglecting my online space which is like my baby but it had to be done. It had to be done in order to really concentrate on getting myself in the best mental and physical space. I feel a sense of relief by writing this post because the fact I’m now a wife hopefully explains my lack of updates, it’s something I kept quiet for months and now that’s out the way I feel like I can take a deep breath and start again. I feel like I’ll be able to talk freely on here every now and then and who knows maybe one day I’ll get back to regular posting because let’s face it - I miss it. I am still the girl who refuses to use a new lipstick until I’ve photographed it and as you can imagine the archives of photos I intend on sharing with you is forever growing. I will still keep my personal life private because that balance is something I refuse to budge on. I will just say I am happy and focused on this new chapter of life. I am currently in Dubai and once our wedding in December is over, I will be based here more permanently. I am quite looking forward to sitting still for a bit because I’ve flown here around 8 times already this year *insert eye roll*. Many of you know Dubai is home from home for me, so it will be good to start married life here. I don’t know if we’ll be here forever but for now it’s home.

Here are some pics of my outfit/make up on the day, it was just a small celebration at home with close family. My outfit is from the place I get all my Asian outfits from. They are based in Ilford in East London but can be found on Instagram @Prive_lux their pieces are so unique and everything I have from them I adore. If you're in need of an Asian outfit can't recommend enough - Tell them Zara, MouldyFruit sent you!

One of my closest friends Zana did my make up, she's one of the few people I trust when it comes to my face. I can tell her NO, yes and MORE! She always listens and got the look spot on for the occasion. We used a mixture of products - lots of Holy Grails in there. I've included a shop the post of these products.

My henna was done by this lovely young lady Fahima she's so incredibly talented and so sweet. She did mine and everyone else's the stain lasted for 2 weeks and became even more vibrant as the first few days went on.

There you have it sugars, a little life update. As I end this post I’m about to embark on the Jason Vale’s 3 day juice detox. Love is great but it’s making me fat haha! I’m ready to get back on track and this is the kick start I need to live a little healthier. I’m planning to digital detox over the next 3 days because seriously, I am on Instagram forever scrolling way too much these days. I will report back to you guys either on here or Insta stories and let you know how it goes.

We are also going to Thailand on Friday - It’s sort of like a mini moon, my birthday and my hubby’s best friends wedding. It should be a great trip so if any of you have Thailand recommendations please leave them below and I shall read after my digital detox haha!

I hope this post finds you all well, sending you much love and thanks for all the lovely comments on Instagram.
