Friday Five | YSL

7.10.16

As I'm doing #EverydayOctober I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to bring back Friday Five - You know the drill one brand and five of my must have products..

Today I bring you YSL Beauty. I remember being about 16 and I was fascinated by bright lipstick and I ended up purchasing my very first one - a neon pick, number 49 by YSL, I actually still have it. Of course I never wear it but it's more nostalgia and I can't bring myself to part with it. Today YSL is one of my favourite luxury beauty brands and here's some of my picks from them.

Touch√© Eclat Foundation
This foundation is gorgeous and I still frequently wear it. There's something about the formula that's so lightweight but somehow the coverage is really buildable. I love the radiant finish this gives your skin it's, natural, realistic and makes a fantastic foundation for everyday wear.

If I'm honest I never feel like make up brands get nail polish right, you know what I mean? But YSL is one of the few brands that have it so spot on. This particular shade is one of my absolute favourites - it's such a beautiful, vibrant blue that reminds me of the Summers spent poolside. The brush fits your nails perfectly and I find this so chip resistant, it's such a winner for me!

Perfume in Supreme Bouquet
This is one of the most luxurious fragrances I own. It's only available at selected YSL counters but if you manage to smell this I can't urge you to enough. It's a beautiful floral based fragrances which is made deeper by rich, woody oud notes. It's a perfumes that I only bring out on special occasions, wearing it is such a treat and it's one of my favourite discoveries from the brand. I'm going to cheat just a little and say that my everyday fragrance is also by YSL and it's their Black Opium series, I have this in all variations and I adore it - it's sweet, sexy and the kind of scent I typically gravitate towards on a daily basis.

Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain Plump Up
I've mentioned this product in a specific lip plumping post before and I never thought I would love it as much as I do, so much so it's become part of my daily make up/skin care regime. I feel like this product is a hybrid between a gloss and a balm. I love the diamond shaped doe foot applicator, it allows you to place product so easily, this product gives your lips a slightly tingly sensation which I secretly love and it leaves your pout looking fuller. The best thing about this is that you can use it before lip products or as I do sometimes as a last step to an existing matte lip. Got to love products that emphasise what you already got and this lip plumper is fab for that.

Rouge Volute Shine
I remember buying my first RougeVolute lipstick back in the day when they came with a mini mirror on the top. For someone who's obsessed with pretty packaging I remember how much I adored these lipsticks and I still do. Luxurious packaging aside these lipsticks are beautiful on the lips. They're hydrating, smell like watermelon and have a perfect sheer finish. They are so effortless to wear and I simply adore the comforting feeling of these on my lips.

There you have it 5 of my must haves, of course I could have included many more products but these are my ultimate essentials.

Have any of you tried any of these? What's your favourite YSL product?

Lots of Love
