Today I'm talking AM skin care..
I start off most mornings with a scroll through social media and a black coffee in hand, which I most definitely can't function without. I always thought my morning skin care routine was quite low maintenance, that was until I was telling my cousin about it and she told me she barely has time for moisturiser in the morning. That being said, I do work from home so making time for a morning routine may be easier than if I was working a 9-5.. Anyways enough rambling, let's get to it.
I like to wash my face in the mornings with a foaming cleanser, I find these gentle enough on the skin and they're ideal for refreshing/waking up my face. I don't feel it's necessary to heavily cleanse in the mornings as my evening routine is much more thorough. At the moment I'm enjoying using the Nuxe Micellar Foam Cleanser with Rose Petals I usually use this in the shower and once I'm sat at my dressing table I give my skin a quick spritz with a toning mist. The one I'm using right now is my trustee Mario Badescu, this is lovely on my face - it's got rose and aloe which calms my skin, ready for the day. For serum I'm currently using Caudalie's Polyphenlol C15, I find myself continuously going back to this product - my skin just loves it. The texture is lightweight, it absorbs well and leaves my skin noticeably radiant. I have quite dry skin and my current moisturiser is Lierac's Hydragenist Moisturizing Cream oh boy I've never smelt a cream which smells as good as this and that's saying something, for me smells are so important when it comes to skin care - if it doesn't smell good I don't want it on my face! The texture of this cream is heavenly, it's rich in consistency and hydrates my skin so well - French skin care is always WIN WIN with me and this is another brand to add to the LOVE list. I've run out of all my eye creams so I've been using the Genuine Glow Eye Balm by Estée Lauder - I feel like I'm forever talking about this product and as I've mentioned it's a hybrid between skin care and pre make up prep. I rate this product so much, it smooths out the eye area so well, softening the lines and brightens up my panda eyes. A couple of times a week I like to give my skin a good scrub and for years I've been using the Bliss Micro Magic Microdermabrasion - this is such a wonderful product for removing dead skin and deeply cleansing my face. I love the consistency, it's gritty enough but not too abrasive on my skin. I sometimes use this in the evenings but most of the time I use it in the morning. I find the texture of my skin is instantly improved and my make up application is so much better after using this.
These are the products I'm loving for giving my skin all that in needs in the mornings. What are your morning skin care essentials, this time next week I'll be talking all about my evening skin care routine.
Lots of love
