My MAC LFW Essentials

London, UK

If you couldn't tell from the excessive amount of photos flooding your timeline, it's currently London Fashion Week..
I have a sort of love/hate relationship with fashion week and for the last two seasons I've chose to give it a miss. To be honest when I first went I loved it, the buzz of being back stage the excitement of sitting front row but the reality is - it's a little draining. Also I never feel cool enough at these things, I'm not very 'Fashion' - for me it's about the make up, the make up we see backstage which is moderated to create collections the following seasons - That is what I love.

MAC work MAGIC backstage at fashion week, it's an amazing atmosphere filled with colour and creativity. As they do so much during fashion week all over the world, I wanted to share some MAC essentials ideal for surviving LFW or any other week to be honest!

MAC Prep + Prime Blot Powder is a product that lives in my handbag, this translucent powder is amazing at controlling that excess oil when you're on the go, it's pressed so none of the mess. MAC's Vintage Rose Cream Colour Base is a beautiful product for adding a little rosiness to the cheeks, these are gorgeous on the skin, they have a slightly dewy finish but settle softly like a powder.  MAC Paintpot in Vintage Selection I mean who doesn't love a paintpot? Use them alone, use them as a base for shadow they're honestly fabulous. Vintage Selection is a warm, golden champagne shade which I adore. You know I can't be without liner and the Retro Black Fluidline Pen is incredible for perfecting a feline flick, I'm not a huge fan of pen liners but this one is so precise it's won me over, did I mention it's super black too?! I've found love in MAC mascaras and this Upward Lash is great for giving your lashes that lift, I'm talking maximum volume and extreme curl. For me I always think a longlasting lip it's the way forward - the new MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colours have blown me away, richly pigmented and last on the lips for hours - This shade 'Fashion Legacy' is certainly a showstopper expect a full post soon! The other product I love are the new Velvetease Lip pencils - They are matte in consistency, vivid in colour and once they wear away they leave the lips looking softly stained - LOVE!

What are your current make up essentials? Does Fashion Week interest you?

Lots of Love
