This is probably one of the most talked about foundations on the market and in actual fact the UK's best selling foundation - so why's it taken me so long to try it? I have no idea!
When it comes to foundation I definitely like it to be long lasting/full coverage and Estée Lauder's Double Wear is just that. After using it on and off for the last month or so, it's time to tell you what I think.
The coverage is incredible it honestly conceals everything which I like, but also somehow dislike. I'll explain. It makes the skin look flawless, almost photoshopped which is awesome but it sort of lacks realness. I mean I love the full on look for a night out but on a day to day basis I think it's a little too much. For a lighter coverage you can always mix in a moisturiser or add a ton of highlight to give that base radiance but it's generally quite a matte finish foundation. I personally prefer my foundations to be a little more dewy on the skin but for the days I want a matte base this is ideal.
I surprisingly like the consistency of this foundation, it's fluid and the best way to apply it is with your hands - there's something about the warmth from your fingers that makes this product almost melt into the skin. The finish is smooth, velvety and when I say this foundation stays put all day that is no exaggeration. I actually applied this before I did an intense workout (Don't ask!?) but I seriously sweat it out but my base? Did NOT budge! Amaze.
Have any of you tried this? What are your thoughts?
