Clarins has never been a make up brand that appealed to me..
I don't know why? Maybe because I associate it with the older woman and I don't want to categorise myself in that (yet!). Also I don't know if it's just me but the uniform of the women on counter at the department stores puts me off - Ha! My friend Yinka actually gave me this foundation because it was too light for her and it sat in my drawer for weeks until I decided to try it.
Thoughts? Amazing - And that's an understatement! I have featured this in Favourites Videos and #FridayFaceOff's but since it's become my daily foundation I thought I'd have to enlighten you a little. The Everlasting Foundation is fluid and light in consistency, I expected it to have little coverage but instead it's medium and can be built beautifully. I love how this adds instant radiance to the skin - it has a dewy finish that mattifies and sits well throughout the day. For me it's the perfect combination of the NARS Sheer Glow and the NARS All Day Weightless Luminous Foundation. The thing I love most is - despite how much you apply (Trust me, I go in!) it doesn't appear cakey and it still has a very REAL skin like finish. I also love that it has a pump as it makes life so much easier and the smell? It's divine, it reminds me of watermelon.
Honestly this foundation has been such a pleasant surprise. The moral of the story don't judge a book by it's cover haha! There are so many make up brands out there that it's so easy to stick to what you love but greatness can be discovered elsewhere - Like Clarins. Woah that was deep!
Really recommend this foundation, I've been wearing it daily for the past 2 months and I wear it in the shade Cappuccino it also has an SPF 15.
Have any of you tried this? Are any of you the same and associate Clarins with older women? Is it me or does it just have less appeal?
Lots of Love
