No Make Up/Make Up | Everyday Essentials

When it comes to wearing make up I'm either full glam or nothing at all - literally two extremes.
This blog post was initially supposed to be about the new Nuxe DD Crème but it got me thinking about make up I wear when I'm opting for the "No Make Up/Make Up" look.

Let's start off with the DD Crème, initially I had a little eye roll - I mean seriously?! BB, CC and now DD!? But when I actually gave this product a chance I realised I actually really liked it. DD - Daily Defence is essentially a tinted moisturiser with an SPF of 30. The texture is beautiful and it feels a lot more substantial in consistency than BB creams or CC creams I've tried in the past. The coverage is buildable and it has a gorgeous radiant finish on the skin. I have to say I had this on all day and even went for an evening run - I came home and it was still on despite the sweat! It comes in three shades Light, Medium and Dark - I use dark

On the days I've been wearing this I've been using a few other products for that no make up make up look. The Smashbox BB Cream for Eyes has been my concealer of choice, it's light and blends in well with the DD Crème. I've been loving the Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Blusher in Liquifuschia - despite it looking uber bright, I apply it with a flat top kabuki brush and pat it on to the skin for that natural flush of colour. Highlighting is an essential so I use Benefit Watts up! As it blends so well with all the other creams. It has a beautiful dewy finish on the skin which can be built up for your desired amount of highlight.  On my eyes I've been adding a touch of colour with MAC's Paintpot in Groundwork, it's a really neutral tone that looks great alone or under shadow. No look involving make up is complete without mascara and I like lots of it, my go-to is still Bourjois 1 Seconde Volume. I've been loving the By Terry Brow Mascara for keeping my brows in an acceptable state, it really tames all those hairs that don't cooperate!

What are your no make up essentials?

Lots of Love

  6. I must take a look at the Smashbox concealer! I used to be the same i.e full glam or nothing but recently I found for a subtle make up look so I don't have to go completely fresh faced... a touch of MAC Studio finish concealer with a dab of matte power, lipstick and mascara does the trick for the days I don't want to glam it up :)

  7. Sometimes it's hard rocking the no makeup makeup look but these products look like they'd do the job for you! sabiha x
