Hello my loves - Yes I know I’ve been totally MIA
I’ve been suffering with a case of writers block and to be honest I just needed some breathing space from the blog. I also stopped doing #FFO for a bit because I'm feeling a little low on the self esteem front and the thought of taking pictures scared me. Anyhoo enough of the sob story let’s get down to details.
I’ve been using the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer as concealer/foundation - It seems to be working best at concealing my dark circles. I’ve been applying this predominantly under my eyes, then difuffsuing it with a damp beautyblender. It’s quite thick and creamy but I love the application you get from it when using a beautyblender. I’ve been opting for uber bronze skin and I’m still reaching for my Delilah Sunset Matte Bronzer. On my cheeks I added a touch of the NARS Dual Intensity Blusher in the shade Frenzy, the peach/coral tone works so well with bronzey hues. To highlight I went OLD SCHOOL and whipped out a complete cult classic - MAC’s MSF in Gold Deposit. I’ve used this for almost 10 years now, it’s rich in colour and gives you that J-LO Glow. On my eyes I kept things super simple and applied my Illamasqua Vintage Metallix in Embellish, it’s a rich chocolate brown with a soft gold sparkle - I love the consistency of these, they’re creamy but mattify perfectly. I added a touch of brightness to the inner corners of my eyes with the lightest shade from this MAC X Pedro Lourenço Palette. I lined my water line, top and bottom with MAC’s Power Kohl in Feline and then smudged out the lower lash line with a pencil brush. I added lots of mascara, I'm currently loving the YSL Faux Cils Volume which has been my go-to of late. I was going to add a lip gloss and be done with this look - BUT I tried a new lip liner and ended up loving it so I left it - MAC Mahogany Lip Liner is one of Terry Barbers (MAC’s director of artistry) picks for AW15 - trust me to wear it in Spring/Summer - ha!
