The Drugstore Dupe | Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips
I stumbled across this product completely by chance.
I was in Superdrug picking up some necessities - I say that but realistically standing at Barry M counter picking a new nail polish is hardly a necessity! It was then, I came across the Gelly Hi Shine Lip Pencils - I haven't heard anything about these but then again I only ever use their nail polishes.
I'm sure many of you are aware I'm not a glossy kind of girl but every now and then, there's the occasional product that changes this. As soon as I applied the Barry M Gelly Lip Pencil I knew exactly what it reminded me of -A #drugstoredupe for NARS' Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils. While this shade may not be a specific 'dupe' the product itself is definitely a cheaper alternative.
I, surprisingly love the texture of this lip pencil it's more creamy than sticky and the finish is high shine, as the name would suggest. There are definitely times where I'm in the mood for a gloss and this is the kind of colour I would reach for; a soft nude, with a pinkish undertone. I love how this product plumps my lips and gives them a fuller, glossier finish.
I personally prefer glossy pencils/balms because they're never as sticky or as uncomfortable as I find regular lip glosses. I used to use the NARS Velvet Gloss Pencils but the smell really puts me off, on the contrary 'Orion Nude' by Barry M smells of toffee - Mmmm, not bad at all!
This is such an easy and effortless lip product to wear, especially in this shade (Orion Nude). At £4.99 you can't go wrong, check out the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips HERE.
