I was super excited when Birchbox teamed up with Women’s Health Magzine this month - it was the box and the boot I needed to get my ass back in gear.
If you’ve watched any of my Monthly Favourites Videos you may know that 2014 was the year I really fell in love with Women’s Health Magazine. For the first time in a long time I found myself reading articles instead of flicking through looking at pictures. It really helped me better myself, whether it was a quick tip or trick, or even recipe it definitely made a difference to my general living.
I’m not going to lie I ALWAYS avoid doing the ‘What’s in my monthly beauty box’ post, personally I find them boring - boring to write, boring to read BUT can I just say if there’s one box that has consistently impressed me it has to be Birchbox. I mean the products are great, things I would actually BUY or that I already use and now have in a handy sample size. I can’t tell you the amount of times my Birchbox samples have saved me when I’m travelling and packing my wash bag - so ideal.
This month’s box really motivated me, I think it was the ‘Hit Refresh’ 12 bite-sized challenges that got me going me going. It's the little extras and details like this that I really enjoy about my monthly Birchbox. I don’t do New Years resolutions - health and keeping fit is something I try to maintain all year round. I’m not going to lie I have fallen off the bandwagon over the last month, so this really couldn’t have come at a better time.
I find the products are always so well selected and always fit the monthly theme. These miniatures are going to be making their way into my gym bag for sure. I am looking forward to trying the activbod shower gel, there’s nothing like using an invigorating product after a tough workout. I am yet to try the Philip Kingsley Body Building Conditioner, but I love the Elasticizer so I’m sure this will be a winner. HealGel Body is a product I have used numerous times before it’s amazing at relieving tension and really calming the body. We all know Caudalie is one of my favourite French brands and the Vinoperfect serum is great for giving your skin that added radiance. The Stila lip gloss isn’t really my thing, I’m not a glossy girl but I’m sure one of my friends will be happy with this. I was also excited by the pilates band, there’s a great article HERE on four ways to use it - no doubt I will be incorporating this into my workout routine.
It’s definitely time to kick start the fitness!
Even if monthly boxes aren’t your thing you should DEFINITELY check out Birchbox’s online store, it’s one of my favourite online beauty destinations. They have such a fabulous selection of products.
How’s your January going? Tomorrow is my first day back in the gym - EEK wish me luck!
