Hair by Hari's

There was a time when all I wanted was long, volumous, free flowing hair - Gone were the days! Ever since I first cut my hair short at the beginning of the year it's gradually got shorter and shorter!

My hair is thick and naturally wavy so I'd always been a little apprehensive about having short hair. In actual fact my obsession with long hair was so strong that short hair had never actually crossed my mind. Then I got bored (As you do!) I kept seeing so many people rock this short, messy cut and I knew I had to jump on the bandwagon. To be honest my hair inspo has always been Ciara when she first bobbed it and had some fierce ombre/balayage going on! (Just check my Pinterest hair board and you will see!)

This is the shortest my hair has been since I was a child (YES I'm talking those embarrassing school day bobs!) and at first I was a little unsure whether it would suit me but I'm glad I had the chop. I had my haircut at Hari's on Kings Road in Chelsea, it's a quirky salon with a good atmosphere. There's a bar at the back of the salon that serves coffee, smoothies, drinks and food - How fab is that!

Kirsten my stylist was great at understanding what I wanted, I also like that she suggested what would work best for my face shape. My hair prior to the visit was graduated, the last time I had it cut it was shorter at the back and longer at the front. We decided to cut it blunt and keep it all one length. Once my hair was blow-dried Kirsten cut into it with some long layers for movement and thinned the ends so it wasn't too weighty

II think it will take me a few days to get used to seeing it in the mirror, but change is always good! At the end of the day, it's hair, it grows!

What do you guys think? I might do a guide on my favourite hair products for messy, texturised hair it's been a while since I've done a hair post.

Check out Hari's HERE, I really recommend it!

What's your hair currently like? Who's your hair inspo?

Lots of Love

  1. I like your hair! I'm currently waiting for mine to grow, I've had really long hair 2 years ago and I cut it to bob lenght, so after two years of short hair I want it to be long again.

  2. Up until a little while ago I used to have curly hair that came down way past my waist. Like you I never dreamed of having it cut but one day I thought f*ck it and had it cut short. Now I can't bare to have it long lol :) Your hair looks lovely and a change is always good X

  7. You look great! This hairstyle is so flattering on you. Being desi myself, I always assumed that longer hair equates to greater beauty. Girl, you are so proving that wrong!
