July Favourites - The Low Down & The Video

julfaves

Another month and another stash of favourites! I was contemplating doing a recap on some of my favourites from the first half of this year. I am finding it hard to believe we are already in the second half of 2014 - eek time is flying! Nevertheless this is the lot I've been loving in July.

My body has been seriously dry this month, probably because of all the sun exposure on holiday - My skin has been soaking up the Caudalie Divine Oil, it's such a gorgeous, lightweight texture that absorbs so nicely into the skin. I adore the scent and it gives my body such a gorgeous glow - Much love all around for this product. I discovered a new favourite from The Body Shop, it was something I popped in my holiday make up bag with not much thought - The Vitamin C Skin reviver is a fabulous product for perking up the skin and adding instant radiance. It has a lovely, smooth finish on the skin and is a great base for flawlessly applying makeup on. I have been loving Diptiqyue's Vetyverio fragrance lately, it's so light on the skin and has quite a green, fresh scent once applied. I really like that it's more of a masculine scent as most of my fragrances are super sweet and often girly. The other scent is quite the opposite to Vetyverio and is one of those typically feminine fragrances I steer towards, it's by Juicy Couture and for those of you who know I'm such a Juicy girl, Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is their latest instalment and you can expect a full blogpost sometime this week - LOVE. Not much on the nail front except for Bourjois 1 second gel nail polish in Turqoise Block, a typical Summer holiday colour and an absolute dream to paint your nails with! My lips have been so dry and my current saviour is By Terry's Baume de Rose it has such a luxurious feel on the lips and keeps them hydrated for hours. Make up wise there wasn't THAT much this month - My eyes have been loving Kevyn Aucoin's Essential Palette (3) It's great neutral tones, which makes it the perfect palette for everyday use. I have been loving three products that Mario Dedavonic used on Kim Kardashian for her wedding - first up is Urban Decay's Naked Flushed palette - it's the ultimate bronze, blush and highlight trio. The second product I adore is the Urban Decay Perversion mascara Full blog post HERE - It launches here in the UK very soon so keep your eyes peeled. The last product from Kim K's wedding make up is the L'Oreal L'extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Nude Ballet. It's such a gorgeous colour and it feels incredible on the lips, creamy, hydrating and best of all not sticky! I'm a little late with this one but I discovered Urban Decay's 24/7 pencil eyeliner in Black Velvet which is amazing on the water line. It's intense, it stays put and lasts all day! The last favourite of mine from July has to be NARS' Velvet Gloss Pencil in More - It's a lovely toffee shade, which works well with my current tanned skin. I am really into glossy lips at the moment! Check out the video below!

That's my low down on July favourites! What have you lot been loving?

  2. I finally managed to track down nude ballet and I can see why Kim Kardashian is a fan! Completely agree with you, it is the perfect "non sticky" lipgloss. It was wonderful to meet you at the GlamGlow event, sorry for fan girling, I tend to get a bit over excited haha :)
