#FridayFaceOff 16 - On a Sunday!
Hello my loves today I'm back and I thought what better way to kick things off than with a #FridayFaceOff - OK let's state the obvious it's not Friday, this was MEANT to be up on Friday but I was so exhausted I didn't manage to post it and yesterday was the same.. so it's been a bit of a #weekendfail. Nevertheless I'm slowly on the mend and I'm beginning to feel a lot closer to myself than I have been in the last month.
Surprisingly my skin colour is a lot warmer than usual I don't really know how because I've had little sun exposure over the last month, I opted for Chantecaille's New Stick Foundation in Banana this is usually the perfect match for my Summer skin. I love the buildable coverage and the creamy consistency of this foundation. I also mixed in a little bit of MAC's Studio Sculpt in NC44 this was a major rediscovery, it used to be holy grail and was the only foundation I used for about 2/3 years - Think it's time to repurchase I'd forgotten how AHMAZING it is. In an attempt to brighten up the darkness under my eyes I opted for the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Biscuit. I then set this with a bit of Ben Nye's Banana Powder (not photographed). For my cheeks I added a touch of MAC's Sunbasque Blusher another Summer favourite and a sweep of MAC's Wonder Woman Golden Lariat MSF on the top of my cheek bones for highlight. Lately I have been loving wearing matte brown eyeshadows with lashings of mascara - I've not been able to put down my Smashbox Full Exposure Palette it's got such fabulous neutral, matte tones which allows you to create a defined, soft smokey eye. My mascara of the moment which I'm loving is the new Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara I didn't think I would like it because it's has one of those spikey brushes that I never seem to get on with, surprisingly it works wonders at creating full, volumous lashes. Lips lately have been all about warm neutral tones, leaning more towards browns - I am loving the exaggerated 90's lip that Kylie Jenner has been rocking oh so well lately, it's gorgeous. I picked up two new lip products from the drugstore whilst picking up my medication! First up is Rimmel's Cappuccino Lip Liner it's a deep brown which is ideal for over lining the lips. Over this I have been using Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Mink which is a lovely coffee coloured lipstick with a semi glossy finish. It appears more pink in pictures but in reality it's the perfect shade of cafe au lait!
Hope you all have had a fabulous weekend, I'm working on some posts for you this week!
