An Update + Favourites - The Low Down & The Video

23.6.14

fave

Hello my loves so today I bring you my first video in a LONG time! It felt weird talking to the camera but I wanted to be able to talk to you guys and fill you in properly, I couldn't have the whole video being negative so I threw in some favourites..

Bumble and Bumble City Swept finishing spray has literally swept me away, actually BLOWN me away. My greatest difficulty with finishing sprays is getting them to actually stay put and hold throughout the day. This one allows me to achieve messy, textured hair without falling flat two seconds after and I love that! I adore oils and the Rituals Shanti Chakra has been the one I've been reaching for lately I'm sure it's the smell of sweet almond oil that lures me in! It's absorbs so nicely into the skin, giving you that gorgeous glow. Obviously with my current condition (AKA Covered in hundreds of bite marks) my biggest concern is scarring so I've been using  HealGel Body to try and prevent that. It's a lightweight gel texture which is comforting on the skin - I've wrote about the intensive HealGel HERE and that worked wonders on burns! So.. here's to hoping! I've been loving Essie's Find Me An Oasis it's a gorgeous pastel, baby blue and looks great against my complexion (blog post will follow, it deserves it - trust me!). I rediscovered my old favourite foundation MAC's Studio Sculpt I'm loving the texture and the coverage, I think a repurchase is in order! The Bourjois 1 Seconde Volume Mascara has really impressed me over the last few weeks, lots of lashes and I'm loving it! As mentioned I'm digging Kylie Jenner's overdrawn lips but all the products suggested just don't have the same effect against my complexion so two I've been loving lately are Deborah Milano Atomic Red Mat which is a gorgeous brown matte lipstick and I've been mixing this with Revlon's Mink. It's my own take on that, Oh-so Popular, 90's enhanced lip! My health is priority at the moment and as well as eating right I have introduced YourTea Tiny Tea Detox as part of my daily routine. I'm always a bit skeptical about diet teas but this one is honestly fab, it reduces bloating and has really helped to cleanse my system of all those nasty meds I have been on the last month. I will be uploading a more indepth blog post on this tomorrow so be sure to check it out.

There you have it, I'm on the road to recovery and already finding favourites!
Hope you enjoyed the video and my low down and I hope you lovely lot are well..

Lots of love

  3. Wow! All that madness from bug bites, that is crazy! I literally started to get a lump in my throat towards the end of the story. I am so sorry that you went through all of that, but at least you are back home, safe and sound. You are looking great though just as if nothing had happened so hang in there doll! Lots of hugs! :)
