Weekends for me, are often low-key and I like it that way. I avoid making plans instead it's all about going with the flow. I usually go out on a Friday night so that come Saturday I still feel like I have a full weekend ahead of me.  The Weekends mainly consists of friends, family, food and the occasional frolicking. Believe it or not I prefer to adapt a low maintenance approach to my make up or sometimes no make up at all on the weekends (Depending on what's going on!) because as much as I enjoy wearing make up and getting glammed up I love nothing more than, being home and make up free!

If I can pull myself away from my laptop, my excessive list making and never ending note taking I usually end up brunching in local cafes, sipping on skinny cappuccinos with loved ones. My laid back weekend make up routine takes me no more than 10 minutes to achieve. It's quick, easy and of course so simple - It's all about enhancing my natural features with the use of minimal products. I absolutely adore the Dr.Haucshka Toned Day Cream, it's hydrating, the colour suits my complexion and it has such a radiant finish to it. I often find products that are a 'one colour' suits all kind of thing always end up making my skin look ashy, this is not the case with this cream - LOVE IT! I apply By Terry's Touch Expert Advanced Concealer to hide those dark circles, it's light reflective and adds instant brighteners under the eyes. I then pat on a little bit of Kevyn Aucoins The Creamy Glow 'Liquifuschia' to my cheeks and sweep on a bit of Cellestial Powder over my cheek bones, this INSTANTLY wakes my skin up - no exaggeration I can't live without it. I keep my eyes bare and just apply mascara my current everyday one is Maybelline's Volum'Express The Mega Plush. I fix my brows, not overly but just fill in a few gaps using my Anastastia Brow Wiz this pencil is the best, the texture is not waxy and it looks so natural - Totally my BFF. For my lips it's lip balm for sure, this changes daily - the one I grabbed today was Labello's Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia - This smells divine and feels so hydrating on my lips. If I feel like I need a little colour on my lips I just use the Kevyn Aucoin's Creamy Glow I used for my cheeks.

Once I'm home I'm usually sat under a blanket sipping on tea, watching episode after episode of Friends - You can't go wrong with comedy classics on the weekend they have such a feel good factor. I  light a few candles to really get cosy, the one burning at the moment is the latest, limited edition offering from Diptyque - 'Rosamundi' it's incredible and burns beautifully - My front room smells like a garden of gorgeous roses.

If I'm indoors with no intention of moving, I remove the little make up I have on and smother myself in my current skin care favourites. My Wonder of the moment is the African Botanics 'Pure Maurla Oil', rich in vitamins and omegas it softens, hydrates and brighten my skin - It's great if you're feeling the effects of the cold -  I adore it

I often give my hair a rest from heat/styling on the weekend,  I apply hair masks or hair oils in an attempt to deep condition my hair. My Current favourite is the Phyto - Subtil Elixir Oil, I apply it generously concentrating on, tie my hair up and leave it on overnight. When it comes round to washing it the next morning my hair is soft, silky and super shiny - It's amazing.

So there you have my weekend wonders. What do your weekends consist of? Do you have a different make up/skin care regime come the weekend?

I am currently sat here make up less, letting my oils sink in to my skin and my hair. Although I am off out to see my girlfriend Tali, it's a pyjama kind of party so no getting ready is required - RESULT!

Hope you're having an amazing weekend whatever you may be getting up to.

Lots of Love

  4. These are really good products. I have the Kevin Aucoins creamy glow in the same color and love it...use it all the time. Because of your review, I also have the Cellestial Powder...this product is freaking amazing; it really does wake up the skin.
