Last week over a calorific, delicious (totally worth it!) raspberry tart I was shown some of the exciting Spring offerings from MAC. Today's post is a peek into the Prep + Prime CC Colour Correct collection. These days the typical beauty lover is obviously aware of products that may have at one time, predominantly been used by the pros - Colour correctors and skin enhancers are those kind of products. Trust me when I say the NEW Prep+Prime CC products are going to be ESSENTIAL to your everyday make up bag - And guess what? They're permanent!
This March MAC are launching their Prep+Prime CC Colour Correct collection, it consists of creams and powders that perfect and enhance your skin tone. I've been lucky enough to have a play with some of the products and I must say they're pretty amazing! There are three new products which each all come in four colours.
The colours are specific to what you wish to achieve;
Peachy Beige - Adjust, Yellow - Neutralize, Lavender - Illuminate & Apricot - Recharge.
The texture of this is absolutely dreamy, it applies so beautifully evening out the skin tone. I have been using the 'Peachy Beige' which is perfect for adjusting the skin tone. I suffer from quite a lot of redness on my cheeks and I find by applying this really helps to reduce and eliminate that. The texture is lightweight, smoothing but still feels hydrating on the skin. I have been wearing this underneath foundation and I find it really helps to create a blank canvas to work with. Although the Peachy Beige is primarily for adjusting colour, I still found this add overall brightness to my skin.
For years I have sworn by the Prep+Prime Transparent powder, it's my absolute favourite. I adore the texture and I love the finish of this on my skin. It's the only powder I've found that sets my foundation and holds it in place ALL day long. I didn't think it could get much better than this powder, I mean I've tried so many different brands but always revert back to MAC. The CC loose powder is even more impressive, it's so finely milled and feels like silk once applied to the skin, it's such a flawless finish. Again I've been using the 'Peachy Beige' in this and it really does adjust any imperfections in my skin tone and again adds brightness.
