22.2.14

Last week at LFW I had the incredible opportunity of meeting with one of MAC's senior make up artist to have my make up done and discuss all things beauty. Fabiana Gomes is based in Brazil and is the senior artist for South America. It was so exciting meeting with Fabiana  she was great to talk to, her energy was amazing despite being extremely jet lagged. We talked about all things MAC and of course I had to find out what products the Brazilian beauties favoured (Believe it or not Snob and Ruby Woo are two of the most popular lipsticks!)

When it came to my make up Fabiana told me that she wanted to touch up what I was wearing, making a few tweaks so that it would be perfect for Spring. I have broken down some of the key areas she focused on.

Light Coverage, Summer ready Skin.

Fabiana used the new MAC CC Creams - She is loving these as much as I am, together she mixed the apricot with the beige - These work in different ways the beige which I am currently using as a primer, she used to adjust the colour of my skin tone in conjunction with this she used the apricot which recharges the skin.

To conceal Fabiana used the Mineralize Concealers, the corveage is builadable and they have a lovely, light weight  feel on the skin. She used a few different shades which varied depending on where she applied them.

Well dressed  blush was Fabiana's choice of cheek colour, surprisingly I have never  used before, it's a beautiful pink toned blush with a gorgeous hint of coral to it.

To highlight Fabiana used the Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul  it's a gorgeous golden shimmer, which really gives the skin a beautiful dewy and radiant finish to the skin.

Update the eyes

Fabiana showed me a great way to transform an eye look. I had worn my usual, everyday soft smokey eye which consists of MAC's Mulch and Sketch eyeshadows. To soften the look and add a touch of warmth Fabiana applied MAC's Sushi Flower in the crease, this added such a gorgeous gradient. Despite always being slightly skeptical when it comes to the use of pink eyeshadows but this is a great way to incorporate them into your eye make up.

Mix the Lips

Fabiana told me she's a huge fan of mixing colours for the lips, I mean what make up artist isn't? She used the cult classic Ruby Woo lipstick, with this lipstick that so many of us love she mixed in the Cream Colour Base in Coral - This brought the tone from a striking red, to a Summer ready coral. I absolutely loved how this looked it reminded me of MAC's Jazzed lipstick.

There are so many quick and easy steps to transform your make up. From what Fabiana was telling me the Spring/Summer is about fresh, radiant skin - It's about keeping the coverage light and in this case less is more. It's about embracing the peaches, pinks and corals - If I'm honest these are my favourites when it comes to Spring/Summer.

Am I the only one who's ready for the Spring? I'm so over this dull, winter? Bring on the bronze skin, coral cheeks and light lips!

Lots of love
