Happy New Year my loves! I wanted to make sure that I was ready to start this New Year off by committing to MouldyFruit and after the hours turned into days of procrastination I decided it was well and truly time to get back on the bandwagon. This week I will be sharing with you some of my most loved products of 2013. I've broken down the days into different categories and today I am delighted to share with you my 'Best of Base' products. 2013 was the year I fell in love with dewy, radiant skin and some of the products featured have become essential to my everyday make up routine. For each product mentioned I have linked my previous blogpost on them so if you would like a more in-depth review be sure to click and check that out.

Prep & Prime

Shu Uemura Stage Perfomer Instant Glow
The Stage Performer can be used alone, in place of a moisturiser or as a primer as I like to . It smooths out the skin, making it an ideal product for prep, prior foundation application. The Stage Performer contains crushed pearls and I love the way in which it leaves your base looking radiant and dewy - It also prolongs the wear of foundation throughout the day.

By Terry Eclat de Teint - 'Halogen Apricot'
2013 was the year of dark circles for me, I suffered worse than I ever have due to lack of sleep and anxiety. The Eclat de Teint from By Terry was my BFF for brightening and highlighting my under eye area. The lightweight texture blends in beautifully in to the skin and allows concealer to sit seamlessly on top. This colour corrector is ideal for anyone suffering from dark circles and blemishes.

Base

Illamasqua Skinbase Foundation - 'SB14'
This foundation was a game changer for me. it was a lot lighter in coverage than foundations I had previously used, however I grew to love it so much and  it was a great companion throughout the warmer months of the Summer. The texture is lightweight, the coverage is buildable and the finish is so true to skin.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation - '8'
A relatively late discovery of 2013 but a favourite that is most definitely coming in to 2014 with me! This foundation is beautiful; the texture is fluid, light and applies like a dream. The finish is dewy, radiant and it's no surprise why this foundation is loved by many.

Conceal

NARS Creamy Radiance - 'Ginger'
My most used concealer of the year and one that I have a lot of love for. The consistency of this concealer is rich and creamy and I adore the way it blends in effortlessly to my foundation, I find that the finish is brightening and light reflective. Although this is a liquid concealer it had a great powder like finish without appearing too heavy. The Doe Foot applicator makes it easy to apply!

Cle De Peau - 'Honey'
By far one of the most expensive concealers I have purchased but totally justified with it's awesomeness. I picked this up in New York in November, so although it was another late love of 2013 it's one that had to be included! The texture is incredibly creamy, the coverage is full on (Bye Bye Panda eyes!) and it's a concealer that well and truly lasts all day - It's obvious to see why it's a Kim Kardashian Favourite! This is definitely a concealer I would wear on a night out, or special occasion - Even though it's amazing, I personally find t's too heavy to wear on a daily basis.

Set

Ben Nye Banana Powder
Another November favourite, Banana powder was a product I'd been wanting to try since I heard that Kim K is an avid fan - Hate her or Love her you can't fault her make up it's always pristine and on point. This powder is perfect for colour correcting, eliminating redness and generally brightening the skin. The powder is so finely milled it's perfect for setting liquid products - it's light and flawless finish to the skin.

Contour

Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Bronzing Veil - 'Tropical Nights'
This was another fabulous find of 2013, do excuse the appearance of the product in this picture in reality it's a gorgeous gradient of the best of bronze. I love how this instantly warms up my face without making my skin appear orange or heavily bronzed. I use the darker section of the bronzer to shape my face and also use it in the contours of my eyes.

Blush

NARS 'Gaiety'
This powder pink blush was such an unexpected love of this year, I would never have thought that a colour that appeared so wrong for my complexion could actually be so RIGHT. I love how this adds the right amount of colour to my cheeks and leaves my face looking delicately flushed. I also love that it's a matte blusher because it allows me to add shimmer/highlighter of my choice.

MAC 'Sunbasque'
My go to blusher of the Summer, I absolutely adore this blusher. It works so well on my skin. It's a rich terracotta colour and has a beautiful golden shimmer to it, once applied it gives your skin such a gorgeousm goddess-like glow. This is the ideal blusher for warmer skin tones and tanned skin.

Highlight

Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder - 'Candlelight'
By far my favourite discovery of this year! This powder is the ultimate product for highlighting - It has become my 'Holy Grail' and this is an essential in my everyday make up routine. This is the perfect shade for creating luminous, dewy skin without being to obviously apparent on the skin. I love that there's no heavy shimmer, instead it reflects the light so beautifully. Once I apply this product I feel as if it instantly wakes up my skin and I love that!

What were your favourite base products of 2013? Have you tried any of the above!? Check back for tomorrow for the next day of 2013 faves.

Lots of Love
