A couple of weeks ago I attended a press day and at the end of the event we were each given a balloon, which we had to pop and inside we all had a unique number. Me being, ME.. I undid the knot sucked out all the helium (As you do) and chit chat away in that sexy high pitched voice! I didn't think anything of the magic number inside..
But BOY this number was magic!? Why? Because I only won the ENTIRE Mavala nail polish collection! YES - ALL OF THE COLOURS. I actually couldn't believe it, I rarely win anything and WOW this was just insane! I was so excited when they arrived, I have to say I have painted my nails like everyday since these babies arrived. Seriously there's too much choice - I think I counted 155?
Apologies in advance if this is the beginning to A LOT of Mavala nail posts. However, I do really like Mavala nail polishes. I find the consistency good, the size of the bottle is perfect (especially for travelling), they are affordable and long wearing.
Yesterday I wanted my nails to just look clean, you know that kind of semi sheer, milky pink, healthy looking nails. My pick was 'Wichita' I applied three coats and a top coat of Seche Vite.
I love how pretty this colour looks, it's so simple and sometimes it's nice to have non fussy nails!
Hey lovelies.. I like to do these catch up posts on a Sunday as I feel I have lots to share. Hope you have all had a good weekend and have a great week this week. I have a FOTD for you all with some product chit chat. A lot of what I was wearing today are new products that I have been using and loving. Before I start with the make up chat thought I'd also let you know I toned down my Ombre hair, It was getting way too brassy looking for my liking. I was tempted to go back to black but I decided to tone it with a lighter brown I much prefer the look of it, It's a semi-permanent so it won't last long but I prefer it. Anyways back to the make up!
Liz Earle Make Up
Did you guys hear that Liz Earle has started a new make up line, I was lucky to be sent a few bits to try and so far I am really liking them. Today I used the blush in 'Peony' which is such a nice rosy cheek colour. It looked a lot darker than the blushers I would usually choose but I really like it on. I have to admit the blusher brush is also lovely, super soft with a slight angle to it which makes applying blusher a dream.
I am ALWAYS up for trying a new mascara so the other day when I was in Boots I was having a little browse and I came across Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Curve. I have to say I used the original 2000 calorie mascara and I wasn't wow'd by it. The mascara I have been using more recently is a lengthening and very good for separating, however one thing I have been missing is really volumising my lashes and enhancing the curve in them. I always curl my eyelashes before applying mascara but mascaras with brushes like this really emphasise the natural curve and I find these mascaras tend to be great for volumising. I am really enjoying using this at the moment I like to use the side of the brush as opposed to the curve and it really does work!
Another product I have been loving is this fairy dust by Pixi Glow, I got this at the launch event last month. This loose pigment it is the ultimate inner corner highlighter, it's just gorgeous. I apply this into the inner corner of my eyes and then blend it in to the rest of my eye make up. It really brightens up my eyes, it's subtle and I think it's perfect!
I don't like to think of myself as a make up snob although I am fully aware that the majority of the make up I use and buy is high end. So it excites me when I go in to drugstores and find products that I end up falling in love with. That has definitely been the case with my new favourite lipgloss by Barry M. WOW how did I not know about these? I picked this up two weeks ago and I have worn it everyday since. I love everything about it. I opted for the typical nude/brown shade.. I mean come on how can a girl go wrong with that? It has a gorgeous shimmer to it and I've been wearing this over one of my favourite lip liners by NARS '(Rosebud').
I'm not really a glossy kind of girl but this makes me want to move over the mattes and get in to the gloss. The texture is beautiful, it glides on to the lips so effortlessly and doesn't feel sticky at all. I was actually surprised with how long this remained on my lips. Did I mention the best thing? These smell divine like vanilla and coconut and all things amazing - I just want to keep on applying it! These smell just like the Laura Mercier lip glosses.

Yesterday I was invited down to the Rose club in London to celebrate the launch of Kim Kardashian's latest fragrance. If you read about my first encounter with Kim K you will know that I wasn't overly impressed with her debut fragrance or her vacant/not-really-all there personality! This time round one of those things changed and that was my thoughts on her latest fragrance (Sorry to disappoint!)
'True Reflection' is Kim Kardashians fourth fragrance and in my opinion probably the best! The scent of this perfume is very sweet, Summery and girly - Just my sort of fragrance. This scent is far from the heavy, floral scent of Kim Kardashian's first fragrance. Instead, to me this has a much lighter and feminine feel. I think it's a good mix of fruity, floral notes balanced out by base notes of musk, patchouli and woods. I know I will be wearing this fragrance for sure and I really like the design of the bottle - this one is defineltey a winner for me!
Kim Kardashian looked as beautiful as you would expect her to. From the first time I met her I knew how immaculately groomed she was and this time was no different. She wore a lace black and red ensemble with Tom Ford heels. I took a sneaky pic of the shoes when we sat with her for a chat about her inspiration behind this fragrance. Her make up was flawless - A heavily contoured face, sparkly smokey navy eye, full on lashes and a typically nude Kim lip. Even though we sat down and engaged with her I still found her to be very vacant, I almost feel as if she doesn't talk to ensure there's never a bad photo of her - REAL TALK!
Kim Kardashian True Reflection is available exclusively at Debenhams and will be available nationwide from June 2012.
The event was sponsored by Midori and I love my new phone case from Midori that was in my goody bag - So Summery!
What do you think about Kim K? Will you be trying this?
If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will know how much I adore the L'occitane Almond shower oil. I was so excited to hear about the new products that are part of the almond range. I love the scent, the textures and the results of L'occitane products. Every year around this time I get a little more body conscious for the forthcoming Summer months and I always love to use products that help diminish the appearance of cellulite. These blog posts always end up being a little controversial. As we all know that there is no real cure for cellulite, however I find something really reassuring about using creams like this (even if it is just for that firming feeling). The ' Almond Beautiful Shape'is probably one of the most luxurious smelling cellulite products I have used - it smells delicious. Another thing that I really like is the consistency of this product as it is a cross between a gel and a cream. I love that this product uses naturally active ingredients to smooth, firm and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
I am going to use this daily to see if I loose any Cms. Apparently it's clinically tested with daily use of this product you can potentially loose up to 3.3 cms off your thighs! YES PLEASE! This was voted 'Best cellulite treatment' by the Beauty Bible.
I will let you know how it goes.. Have any of you tried anything from the Almond range? What about cellulite treatments? Do you use them? What are your thoughts?

Hello my fellow fruits! Firstly hope everyone is well, secondly what do you all think of the new layout? Are you happier with a white background! I absolutely love this layout and I have the gorgeous LaaLaa from Dolce Vanity to thank! It's turned out just how I wanted it to.
