With 2011 so close to an end and 2012 just round the corner I thought now would be a good time to get up my summary posts for 2011. I still cannot believe this year is coming to an end it has just flown by! I thought I would start off with one most of you will be wanting to read - My most loved beauty products of 2011.
1. MAC Modesty Lipstick
Modesty has turned in to my FAVOURITE nude lipstick of all time. I love the balance of pink and brown, I think it's just one of those colours that works for me. It is the only lipstick I have EVER completely finished. I am never without this in my make up bag, by far my favourite piece of make up of 2011.
2. MAC Sunpower Mineralized Skin Finish
This has been my favourite product to contour with, I love that it's so warm on the skin. It can have the tendency to look a little orange but if buffed through it looks gorgeous, it really works well on darker skin tones. I have loved using this the most during summer when my skin was slightly tanned. It also has no shimmer to it which is perfect for contouring.
3. Sephora Cream Lop Stain 01
A late find for this year but by far one, my new holy grail in creating the perfect red lip. I love matte lips I just find they are so sexy, defined and feminine. This creamy lip stain really is a dream it goes on to the lips like a creamy gloss but has the most amazing matte finish to it.
4. MAC Cherry Lip Liner
No red lip is without the perfect partner and that of course is a red lip liner. Cherry has been my saviour, it works well with most shades of red and that is why I love it. It is also great for wearing alone.
5. Inglot Gel Liner 77
This has been my eyeliner of 2011, I feel that I am most comfortable with using a gel liner and I think the Inglot liner has the best staying on power and intensity. I have worn this in all weather climates and it is fabulous, being waterproof it just doesn't budge! This liner glides on effortlessly but you do have to work quite quickly with it as it dries pretty fast.
6. MAC Studio Finish Concealer
2011 has been the year of little sleep for me hence the panda eyes and increasingly dark circles. I have resorted to an old favourite, MAC's Studio FInish concealer. This is a pretty full coverage concealer and has helped me out massively this year. The consistency is really creamy and it blends really well in to my foundation. It has left me looking more awake and my face generally a lot brighter.
7. By Terry - Crayon Kohl Terrybly
I feel like I have found the perfect pencils with the By Terry Terrybly kohls. Not only do these come in an array of colours the texture is absolutely gorgeous. So soft, they glide on effortlessly and they stay put for ages. I have a few of the colours which I love to use especially when adding a bit of colour to the lower lash line. They are a littly pricey but in my opinion totally worth it.
8. YSL Rouge Volupte 20 'Spicy Pink'
This has been my other go to nude lipstick again a good colour for my skin tone, it is slightly browner than Modesty but I really like it. Everyone knows the YSL RV are so luxurious and they feel beautiful on the lips. This has a gorgeous glossy finish and is just so easy to wear.
9. NARS Torrid Blusher
Although it was towards the second half of this year, rediscovering my love for Torrid was defineltey a highlight. I wear it almost daily now, if you are slightly warmer toned I definitely recommend Torrid over Orgasm. It's a gorgeous pinky, coral and has such a slight golden shimmer to it. I feel it just makes me look alive.
10. MEMEME Blush Box in Bronze
I had such a love affair with this Bronze box from MeMeMe until it shattered on my America travels *Sulks* I haven't got round to buying another one but I will. This made such a gorgeous golden highlight. I even started using this as my everyday eye shadow colour it is the most beautiful shade to wear all on the lid.
11. NARS Larger Than Life Longwear Eyeliner - Abbey Road
Since my fringe which was the most drastic change for me in 2011 I have loved emphasising my lower lash line and in all the products I have tried the NARS long wear eyeliners have been another eyeliner favourite. The colours are great and in particular this turquoise is fab! It stays place for hours which I find hard with coloured eyeliners especially on my lower lash line. These pencils are also so soft which is another advantage.
What products have been your favourite in 2011? I am sure that there are more for me.. but these happen to be the products I have used the most especially over the more recent months.
Look out for more of my 11 Loves..
