Illamasqua have just launched their new collection today and I have to say it is another that will blow you away. With such stunning imagery and amazing colours and textures 'Theatre of the Nameless' is definetley a collection that has me excited for autumn and winter.
Alex Box describes 'Theatre of the Nameless' as..
"A heady mixture of opulent hues, decadent pigments and fearless application. A bruised and burnished pallet that gives a sensual slip that bleeds colour into colour, worn through and kissed of"
I was fortunate enough to attend the Blogger preview of the collection yesterday and I have to say it was very impressive. Here are some pics from the evening.
I love the visuals from this collection, it reminds me of some of my favourite photographs from Alex Box's book.
Illamasqua have definitely pushed the boundaries with AW11. In the new collection I have to say the nail polishes got me really excited. The colours may appear to be similar to previous ones but the texture is seriously out of this world. Inbetween a matte and a gloss polish these nail polishes have such a unique rubber like finish. The finish is almost wax like, something that David Horne (Head of new product development) said he was fascinated by. I can't wait to give these a try!
We were sent away with a goody bag and I have to say I got seriously lucky as the products I received were the ones I had my eye on whilst previewing the collection.
The shimmer blushers also got me really excited, these are gorgeous and I was lucky enough to recieve 'Ambition'. This colour to me is very similar to NARS Oasis, it's a pretty dusky pink with a golden shimmer to it. It is such a wearable colour and I can't wait to show you guys how pretty it is on.
My favourite product has to be the lipgloss in 'Belladona'. As soon as I saw the photos from this collection I was instantly drawn to these images and of course that amazing lip!
The gloss is my perfect kind of pink! Pretty, vibrant yet still a little deep n dark. I reckon this teamed with a dark pink lipstick would look amazing. The colour on it's own is still super intense, I love that with Illamasqua what you see is what you get! This gloss glides on effortlessly and doesn't have that sticky finish.
Have you checked out the new collection? What do you think? What are your favourites?
