As we all know the best time to treat skin is at night where we are tucked away from the external factors that contribute to skin damage and ageing (i.e the sun, pollution etc) I have always been a little reluctant to use night creams as such I don't know why I guess I don't like the feeling of my face feeling heavy with moisturiser whilst I sleep and most night moisturisers are often quite rich.
I came across a product by RMK when I attended the NBBE in February and I have to say it is one of the very few night products I really enjoy using. I don't know how much you know about RMK as a brand but they are the number one selling cosmetics brand in Japan. It was launched in 1997 by Rumiko a former make up artist for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. They are such an innovative brand and have some great products in their line of cosmetics and skincare.
This is their intensive Recovery gel and there are many reasons why I like this product. Firstly the consistency of this product is gorgeous, I love that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. In actual face It is really lightweight most probably because it's gel based product which is surprisingly hydrating. Another thing I really like is that it has little capsules in it which disappear as as you massage it in to your face, these help to really lock in the moisture. I find that in particular my skin is quite dry and dehydrated and this has really helped improve that. I have also noticed that my skin is a lot smoother.
If you know me you will know how fussy I can be about the smells of the products I use this however is really pleasant. It smells fresh, zesty and I like it. You can definitely smell grapefruit in it which is one of the key ingredients along with, Raspberry, Kyonin extract, Aloe extract and Yeast extract to name a few.
I think this is one of those products that you can use as you desire. Wether it be every night or every other night. It is an intensive treatment but I have found such a small amount of product goes a long way. RMK can be found at Selfridges in London and Manchester and this product is priced around £38 and to be honest is definitely worth it. I think it's so easy to spend money on make up and things that beautify us but what good are they if we don't invest in good skin care also.
What do you guys think of night products? What do you use? Have you tried any RMK products?
