[062] Saying BYE BYE to Cellulite for Summer!

18.4.11
It's that time of year again where most people begin to get a little body conscious, I know for a fact when the weather gets better and the sun comes out to play I begin to feel it more. In regards to weight and body shape, I don't think I'll ever be satisfied. I do try to embrace the way in which I look and work with what I've got - but when Summer comes I can't help but feel like I need to up my game!

There are selection of things I have introduced into my body regime in an attempt to firm, tighten and quite frankly help reduce the appearance of cellulite. While there is no known cure to cellulite there are definitely products that can help stimulate circulation and lessen the appearance of cellulite!

This odd looking creation is by Bliss and I have to say at first I was a bit confused as to how this could help, but I have seriously noticed a difference since using it. Not only does my skin feel smoother but I really feel like my cellulite doesn't look as apparent. I think it retails for around £15 and can be purchased from the Bliss website.

I have been using this 'Tonific exfoliation' by Nuxe with my Bliss slimulator. This scrub is an odd one, at first I wasn't sure I liked it but the results I've seen since using it have definitely won me over. The consistency of it is quite thick and gloopy and it feels semi sticky on the body but by the time you massage it in, it lathers up and leaves the skin feeling amazing. Although this exfoliator is more about improving the texture of the skin I have been using it on and off for about seven months now because I really feel as if it helped firm my skin, especially my thighs.

I tend to apply the Nuxe exfoliator over my legs and then I use the bliss Slimulator in circular motions from the knees upwards. The Slimulator isn't actually as hard as I thought it would be, it's quite tough rubber and is firm without being uncomfortable. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now and think I will continue to use it as I've already seen a difference. The Slimulator makes a great tool for prepping the skin for cellulite treatments.

After showering I have been using 'body sculptute' by Rodial. I purchased these when they went down in the Space NK sale from £100 to around £25 due to repackaging. I have to say I am a huge Rodial fan and have previously used products such as 'Tummy Tuck' which I loved. The body sculpture is a 4 week treatment which is meant to specifically target cellulite, by breaking down fatty deposits and therefore improving tone and texture. I love the cooling feel this has on the body it almost gives you an instant tightness, it also smells amazing. For those that don't know Rodial have a line of naturally made products that target specific face and body concerns. It is clinacaly proven to reduce the hip and thigh area up to 1cm! Bring it on - I say!

I have also been more active, since joining the gym last month I have been going 3/4 a week. Generally working out, swimming and going to classes especially Zumba. So whilst I'm attempting to increase my fitness levels. Exercise also helps in regards to cellulite so I think a combination of the above are helping me notice results.

So there you have it.. my current anti cellulite, summer regime! Do you guys use anti cellulite products? What do you think? While there is no real cure for cellulite I do find products like these help me with body confidence!

Lots of Love

[The Bliss Slimuator was sent to me for review purposes, but the scrub and the body sculpture were purchased myself. My reviews are honest and based on my personal experiences with using the products!]

  1. I want to buy the Korres one now, and i used to use the Nivea and Roc one too. Didn't see a massive difference tbh. What was good for me, was rubbing cofee grounds on my thighs. Caffeine works wonders, even if it's messy hehe.

  2. OMG I totally didn't know you could reduce cellulite with creams and such. I've always heard that they don't really help but I guess they do. I would love to try any products the reduce my pooch sack! Hahah! Thank you for sharing. Your blog is so informative! xoxo Sana

  4. That bliss product looks good - I tried the Soap and Glory product recently for cellulite and it was good but I couldnt stand the taste that I got in my mouth when I had applied to my thighs!! I dont know how I got such a taste as its not like it was going on my face but I did get it each time I used it lol.

  5. I have been trying to get in the habit of using my body brush more often. I also have this Japanese roller thing for my thighs that I use before I apply anti-cellulite gel. I'm assuming it's working because it really hurts! :(

  6. ..hmmm , to be honest I don't believe in any creams etc , they are only good for skin surface as it becomes very smooth..

  7. Omg Zara, thanks for "highlighting" your white font black so that now your readers can read your posts in Google Reader! I hope I'm not the only one that will enjoy it :)

To comment on your post - I'm normally not a believer in cellulite creams, but I love Clarins High Definition Body Lift. My mum used to use this years ago, and I used it as a teenager with her. It smell great and it had an odd, but nice tingling sensation when applied. I'm not sure it worked on me because I only had minor "cottage cheese", but my mom swore by it.
