[002] MFM Ft MAC 'Indianwood' Paintpot

3.1.11

MM

It's the first Monday of the new year and well a part of me really isn't feeling very well to sit here and write this post but I figured, I really wanted my MouldyFruit Monday feature to continue throughout 2011 and well it just wouldn't be good enough starting the year off without it. I know towards of the end of last year I didn't really keep up with MF Monday's but here we are new year and all!

I think I'm coming down with Tonsilitus, I literally woke up at 3pm today and have been wedged on the sofa in my fleece Pjs and my furry dressing gown since. Going upstairs to photograph this item was such a chore so really hope you appreciate my dedication to you all HAHA!

Anyhoo, for those who have read/seen my post from yesterday will know that I went pretty natural with my eye makeup and teamed that with a bold lip. I have actually enjoyed wearing a relatively simple eye the last few days. The product that I have been loving and has really helped me achieve this look is MAC's Paintpot in 'Indianwood'. Now I haven't really worn Paintpots for a while and when I used to, it was always as an eyeshadow base. However the colour of Indianwood is too pretty to be used underneath something else, it has such a pretty gold/bronze shimmer to it and works really well with my skin tone.

The creamy consistency is also another thing I love about the paintpots and also the face that they don't really crease when worn on the lid. I love the way the colour also works well contrasted with black eyeliner/mascara. It's not too OTT and I really like that, I have so many gold/bronze eyeshadows and well this one is understated and it's perfect!
