Coney Island Cotton Candy

I have been wearing this colour all week and I feel a little BLAH about it. I almost haven't even noticed it. Tonight I will be going back to my fellow Mod About You, for some fingernail love. I can see CICC looking amazing on tanned skin. I think it just didn't meet my expectations. I was hoping for a peachy version of Mod About You with the same intensity, but we shall see. It may grow on me which is what tends to happen. I had a similar relationship with Rimmel's 'Beige Style' which I now love. I don't think I would rush to re-purchase this colour.

[I also cut down my nails, I always get to the point where I feel like I need to let them re-grow, only healthy huh ;)]

Can you girlys give me some nail colour recomendations!? I am always on the look out for some new showstopping colours. What are your favouirtes?

London IMATS 2010

Hey dolls, as everyone knows this weekend has been the London IMATS. I was so excited about it, I mean last year I had missed it so spent the last year occasionally remembering about it. The tickets were £38 for the day which I think is rather steep, I mean if you are going to buy loads and save that amount in the discount then it's worth it. I initially wanted to go really early, however as I'd been out the night before I got there around 1pm. It was packed. I had heard that it was like that from the get-go, as soon as the doors opened. I don't understand why it takes place at Alexandra Palace I think its so inaccessible, lucky for me I drove down but the transport links around there are lame.

I am glad that I went so that I know next year I can give it a miss. It was almost impossible to look at brands and products. Honestly I was queing just to have a look. I am so impatient so as you can imagine I didn't last very long. After walking around checking out the stalls, I decided I would go just to the places I came for. Which to be honest was just OCC [Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics] and Illamasqua. There was a lot of body painting going on and I thought some of them were pretty cool here are a few pics!

By the time I had got there the stall looked EMPTY. Seriously didn't expect it to be THAT bad, I have no idea what they are planning to sell today [Sunday]. The make up artist joked with me and said they would be having a bake sale, haha jokes apart I think thats what they may have to do!

Lip Tars!

This is one of the main reasons I was sooo looking forward to the IMATS. I picked up 3, I only really wanted one of the 3 but I couldn't have just 1! They are too amazing.

I love the creamy consistency and the strong pay off, of colour. Seriously fab! They seem to be quite messy, the testers were leaking all over the place.. [NOT COOL] this didn't put me off, the stickyness drew me in ;). The intensity of the colours is amazing. I am sad I couldn't get Hush a nudey pink or NSFW a scarlet red. They would have been great.

I got these three.. Which I am sure I will grow to love. My girl Tali has mixed hers together and they look beautiful. Check out her review on them HERE ...

Melange : A warm brown.

Pageant: A hot fuscia pink.

Safety Orange: A bright orange.

I feel like the product comes out of the tube a little too quick and even thought they eventually dry to become creamy they are quite wet.

Illamasqua

Wow the discount was too good to be taken lightly! I love the Illamasqua team they are all such amazing, talented and most importantly FRIENDLY people. I think in the make up industry certain people think they are too good to be speaking to you [As much as I love MAC I sometimes find that there] It makes you as a customer feel really uncomfortable. I have to say everytime I go to Illmasqua in Selfridges I feel as if I'm talking to friends, even though it was soo packed and there was constantly people queing around the stall they reamined friendly and chatty. This was really nice as most other stalls I found didn't really bother.

The lipsticks were £9.00 from . The consistency is amazing and as I'm sure all of you know the colours are so true to what you see. BEAUTIFUL. I chose four different shades of pink. [You know how i love my PINKS!] They are all so different, that's why I had to have them all! :)

Fable: A dusky light pink.

Brink: An orangey coral

Avenge: A bright neon pink.

Corrupt: A hot sexy pink

As you can see they are really pigmented, you would often expect them to be drying but they really aren't.

I got the blush Tweak which was around £9. I have been after a really deep red/fuscia blush and this one is gorgeous.

I also got the contour brush which was £15, it feels absolutley amazing and I can't wait to use it.

I am always so satisfied with my Illamasqua purchases and I love everything I got.

I managed to spend under a £100 which was good, I think if I wasn't being pushed and shoved almost everywhere I could have spent a lot more. SO IF you were ONE of those people who pushed the little 5'2 me.. THANK YOU!

For me the highlight of the day was meeting up with Tali from and Jo from. You girls are both fabulous and I had a great time lunching and chatting away with you girls. We ended up driving all over the place to find somewhere decent to have lunch and literally we stumbled onto this pub, which was so lovely. The decor was amazing and the food was so fresh. It was good to unwind and have a girly chit chat! Can't wait to do it again!

Jewellry Junkie : Parisa

My cousin bless her [she is one of the most amazing women in my life] bought me a gift to congratulate me on passing my driving test. She always picks out amazing gifts for me, they are usually from her sister-in laws shop. Its a little asian jewellry boutique but they sell the most unusual, eye catching pieces.

How pretty are these earings! They are super heavy which is the one thing I hate about asian jewellry but I just can't wait to wear them. If any of you live in or near Birmingham, you should check out the shop its called 'Parisa'.

Here are some other pieces she has got me from there.

Heart with an arrow through it on a thin gold rope chain! I actually dropped this so I think I lost one of the stones in the arrow, but i love how the red stones are all different colours really creates dimension to the heart.

This is my little Spider friend, I actually hate spiders even wearing this creeps me out but I always get complimented on this piece when I wear it! The chain is really long so is perfect to jazz up a plain outfit.

OPI : My Private jet

Yesterday My OPI package arrived yay! I had ordered to nail polishes from Jolie Beauty store on Ebay. It works out way cheaper than anywhere else! It must have been around £10 for two.. as opposed to £10 for one. The colours I bought were 'My private jet' and 'Coney Island Cotton Candy'. As I'm aware these are pretty popular on the blog scene and many people have talked about them. However I feel that everyone's opinion counts.. and EVERYthing looks different on us all! I tried the 'Coney Island Cotton Candy' but one coat was not enough and at 1 am I really didn't have the energy for it. From what I can see it is an amazing nude colour and with 2 coats it will look gorgeous. I will post pics when I do a full mani using it.

I decided I'd go with My private jet, I have to say this colour is interesting. I sort of have mixed feelings on it. I think this is partly to do with the fact that I am prefering nude nails at the mo and its been a while since my nails have been dark. I was sitting down over a cup of tea with my bestie trying to find the right words to describe this colour. On my skin tone I feel like its a reallly reallly dark mossy green/brown with a murky dirty gold sparkle through it. OK stop laughing at my poor description I honestly am struggling to find the words. However it is growing on me, it looks lovely when it hits the light and the sparkle shines through. I like it but I don't LOVE it, which I thought I would. I have to admit it was a slight dissapointment and I don't think I would re purchase!

I finished off my nails and smothered my hands in Laura Mercier's Creme Brulee hand cream! AHH i love the smell of this it is my favouirte out of all the different smells. I almost want to eat my hands, which is not good if your hungry! I wouldn't say its particularly moisturising it does leave ur hands feeling soft but if you have really dry hands then this isn't the cream for you, its more about the smell! Which is absolutley delicious! mmm

I also want to apologise for the poor camera quality these were taken with my iphone, I am still without a camera lead! I have taken pics on my old cam but seriously I dont like the quality at all! Must get one before next week!

1. What is your beauty style? (Natural, trendy, etc.)

I like my make up to stand out. I have such a passion for make up and really enjoy applying it, therefore I like it to be noticed. I tend to go for dramatic eyes and nude lips or neutral eyes and dramatic lips, either way there's a bit of drama! :) I love colour and really enjoy experimenting with it, I'm a creative person therefore my make up is no exception to my creativity!

All over, Blogs, Magazines, Books, Fashion, Art, Celebrities, People. My inspiration is all around and certain looks have more specific inspiration wereas others tend to go with the flow.

3. What beauty products do you have the most of?

Lipstick/Eye shadows! Definetley. I went through a phase where I was buying one MAC shadow a week to fill my pro palettes.. I calmed down and it turned to lipsticks! NOW I'm beginning more on to blushes!

4. What's your favourite/holy grail colour for:

OMG THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME!!!!
