I love face masks, but I am so lazy when it comes to finding the time to do them. Since I have been back from holiday I have quite literally been all over the place. My skincare routine has been madness and my sleeping patterns have been AWFUL. I think the most I've slept in one night since I've been back is four hours. Crazy I know.. I now have the most horrendous bags and well my skin just looks dull and tired. Yesterday night I thought I'd give this face peel a go. For those that don't know REN is a very natural brand whose products are free from parabens, sulfates, mineral oils etc.
The mask itself is meant to remove all the dead skin cells, improve the appearance of the skin-tone and help target congestion, blackheads and blemishes. The bio active ingredients from this glycolatic mask include lots of natural fruit acids from passion fruit, orange, pineapple, lemon and papain from papaya which is natural exfoliant. This mask smells amazing and obviously super fruity, I get funny with smells and I am glad this didn't put me off.
As this is a peeling mask, it goes on to the skin quite sticky but I quite like that. I remember being 14 and me and best friend at the time used to buy the cheap peeling masks from Superdrug and used to laugh for hours peeling each others off!
This one however is slightly different as you are advised to wipe away with a cloth, I was all about to use one of my Eve Lom muselin clothes when I realised Ren actually give you a similar one with the mask. I left this on for just over the recommended 10 minutes and then proceeded to wipe away, I was unsure to how my skin would react to this. I have a normal to dry skin type but can often be quite sensitive to masks I think that's why I have become so lazy to doing them. When I applied it to my skin, it tingled just slightly around my nose area, as I wiped away my skin was slightly red (something I would expect from a peel) however this calmed within about 5-10 minutes. I instantly noticed that my skin appeared so much brighter and it had really evened out my skin tone. I tend to have quite a bit of redness on my cheeks and this was taken down by the peel. I wanted to wait to morning to see how my skin had really reacted and well it was all good! I didn't break out and the radiance of my skin was still apparent. I am impressed with this peel and am going to try to make it a regular, once a week thing.
Pro long lip creme in 'Til Tomorow'
A lot of people have been asking me to do a face of the day with the new products I purchased on holiday, I honestly have looked so terrible lately that the last thing I wanted to do was take pics. I did try and snap a few today to show you how the MAC Pro long lip creme in 'Til Tomorow' looks on the lips.
I love this lipstick, its a little bit darker than the nudes I usually reach for but I think my A/W10 is about that! The texture of the lipstick is so glossy when I applied to the lips. I honestly thought I'd purchased the wrong lipstick when I first put it on. Within minutes of wearing this it begins to feel less glossy and more matte. I have to say the colour lasts for ages. I really think I need to purchase more of these! Does anyone know if these are LE? or Permanent?
